If you want, or need, to perform any system diagnostic tests on Triobikes equipped with Brose components, please follow the procedure described below. Please note that the software is intended for use by Brose Dealers, so you may need to ask your cycle maintenance service provider to run diagnostic tests on your behalf if you are a consumer owner / operator.
Hardware Required
- Windows 10 computer;
-
USB2CAN Converter with Rosenberger (magnetic) plug (if you have a trike equipped with a Brose Display Allround and a passenger-compartment battery) - available from Copenhagen Cycles if you don't already have one;
- OR, a standard micro-USB to USB cable (if you have a trike with an older display, such as the Marquardt 4310).
Register for Software Download
- Register for access to the tool (BMZ Batterien-Montage-Zentrum GmbH - Service-Tool). You may have to wait 1/2 days for registration to be approved;
- Download the tool (you will be sent a link to do this in the approval email);
- Instal on your Windows 10 computer.
Connection
- Instal your battery on your Triobike and switch on the trike;
- Disconnect all other USB peripherals from your computer;
- If you have the passenger-compartment battery, connect your computer through the USB2CAN converter and the Rosenberger plug to the battery on the Triobike. Use the USB lead supplied with the USB2CAN converter;
- OR, if you have an older display with a micro-USB port, connect your computer direct to the display using the micro-USB to USB cable.
Software Use
You may now boot the software and inspect the Brose components that are part of your Triobike's powertrain. A demonstration of the software service tool is available here.
